I. SERIES 21 - FOR TIMBER OR STEEL DOORS

The mortise locks are designed specifically for timber or steel doors – with large backsets and flat faceplates with rounded ends. The locks are perfectly complemented by appropriate strikers and latch plates for the door frame.

Performance features such as anti-theft protection, suitability for fire protection and escape doors, and possible integration into access control systems enable you to use the mortise locks for timber or steel doors in many areas.

This is how you combine security with operating comfort automatically: with self-locking locking systems from BKS GU, using the key to actuate the central bolt is not necessary. As soon as the door is pulled shut, the deadbolt automatically throws 20 mm and is secured against being pushed back by force.

The following lock types are available:

SELF-LOCKING LOCKING SYSTEM WITH PANIC FUNCTION

When it comes to integrating locks into burglar alarm and access control systems, there is no better choice than these VdS-approved mechanical, self-locking mortise locks. Their functions can be monitored by means of built-in contacts. What’s more, identical DIN lock case sizes and milling dimensions save a lot of installation time.

ELECTRICALLY LOCKING PANIC LOCK (EVP)

Used with electric escape door strike integrated in the striker.  The integral adjustable latch has been ideally placed in the area of the deadbolt, so the electric locking point is no longer seated outside the lock. This compact solution requires fewer system components and facilitates planning and fabrication. Suitable for fire and smoke protection doors. Approved in accordance with EN 179 / EN 1125 / EN 12209.

ELECTRICALLY COUPLED LOCKS

With additional, electrically coupled outside handle; usable on 1-leaf and 2-leaf doors with access control system. Access control by means of electrically controlled outside handle. Controllable via door opener button, intercom, time switch, or access control system. Controlled door opening in the event of an emergency via the mechanical profile cylinder (panic function C).

RADIO BATTERY LOCK

Self-locking panic lock combined with the option of wireless outside handle activation; access control on 1-leaf and 2-leaf doors is therefore possible without the expenditure of wiring installation. Additional security: door no longer needs to be locked manually as the latchbolt ejects 20 mm automatically.Controlled door opening in the event of an emergency via the mechanical profile cylinder.

II. SERIES 23 - MANUAL-LOCKING LOCKING SYSTEM WITH PANIC FUNCTION
MANUAL-LOCKING MORTISE LOCKS TIMBER AND STEEL DOORS

The mortise lock series 23 for timber and steel doors has opened up a multitude of applications – in all kinds of fire protection doors and emergency exit or panic doors. The locks of this series allow the building occupants to escape from the inside in the event of danger, yet prevent unauthorised access from outside.

III. SERIES 19 - FOR ALUMINIUM OR PVC DOORS
LOCKS WITH PANIC FUNCTION

This mortise lock range is designed especially to meet the requirements of aluminium or PVC narrow stile doors: the slim and differently reinforced profiles demand locks with backsets smaller than those of locks for timber or steel doors. Thanks to their identical lock case height, their non-handed reversible latch, their split follower, and their panic function being inward-outward reversible, the self-locking Series 19 mortise locks for 1-leaf and 2-leaf narrow stile doors provide more flexibility and, at the same time, a reduction in warehousing costs.

ELECTRICALLY LOCKING PANIC LOCK (EVP) SERIES 19

Use in combination with an electric escape door strike integrated in the striker. The adjustable latch has been ideally placed in the area of the deadbolt, so the electric locking point is no longer seated outside the lock.Suitable for fire and smoke protection doors. Approved in accordance with EN 179 / EN 1125/ EN 12209.

EK LOCKS

Usable with additional, electrically coupleable outside lever on 1-leaf and 2-leaf doors with access control system. In the event of an emergency, the door can be opened via the mechanical profile cylinder. The outside lever is activated, that is access is controlled electrically. Activation possible by means of door opener button, intercom, time switch, or access control system. The status of individual lock components can be queried through built-in contact switches.

MOTOR-DRIVEN LOCKS

Motor-driven latchbolt retraction. The duration of release can be adjusted mechanically between 2 and 20 seconds. Mechanical release by means of the key or the lever handle is possible at any time. All Series 19 locks feature identical lock case dimensions. Suitable for fire and smoke protection doors. Approval in accordance with EN 179 / EN 1125 / EN 12209. Suitable for barrier-free construction in compliance with DIN 18040.

IV.SERIES 18 - MANUAL-LOCKING LOCKING SYSTEMS
MANUAL-LOCKING MORTISE LOCKS WITH PANIC FUNCTION

The locks of Series 18 can be used for 1-leaf and 2-leaf emergency exits or panic doors, as they are approved to EN 179 and EN 1125 when combined with the corresponding BKS door hardware. Thanks to their identical lock case height, they practically fit in all narrow stile doors.

The locks have a uniform height of the lock body – regardless of whether they are variants with or without upper locking. Optionally, you can install control contacts, such as the inner and outer handle contact, the latch contacts, the latch, or the thumb of the insert.

V.SERIES 13 - MANUAL-LOCKING MORTISE LOCKS FOR ALUMINIUM OR PVC DOORS
MORTISE LOCKS 1300 / 1308 / 1314 / 1311

With its innovative modular design, lock series 13 allows for many applications on narrow stile (aluminium and PVC) door systems. The locks comply with DIN 18251-2 grade 3 for narrow stile door systems and have EN 12209 approval. Due to their reversible latch, the locks are non-handed (DIN lh / DIN rh usable). Moreover, the burglary-inhibiting locks are suitable for use on fire protection and escape doo.

1316 ESCAPE DOOR LOCK

Escape door lock are suitable for fire and smoke protection doors and approved in accordance with EN 179 and EN 1125 / EN 12209.

VI. MOTOR-DRIVEN SHOOT-BOLT LOCKS FOR 2-LEAF DOORS
MOTOR-DRIVEN SHOOT-BOLT LOCKS B-1893 / B-1993

The narrow stile door lock features a particularly fast-acting motor and performs three functions: motor-driven movement of the lower and upper locking rods, (if required) a permanently-open function for the daily pass-through operation and finally the electric strike function which holds the passive leaf closed and only allows the active leaf to open.
